Richard Buchsbaum, MS

Over the more than twenty-five years of his work at Columbia University Medical Center, Mr. Buchsbaum has developed an approach to research data management that integrates multiple technologies (websites, desktop applications, telephone systems, wireless connectivity, centralized data storage, etc.) to address the full spectrum of research data needs. These include not just the collection of analytical data, but also data for logistical and managerial tasks. In addition to supporting a wide range of clinical research, from small pilot projects and epidemiological studies to clinical trials and data coordinating centers, the Data Management Unit also creates and supports a variety of administrative applications throughout CUMC and the wider Columbia University community.
