Dr. Driver’s research examines men’s health equity at the intersection of gender, race, sexuality and behavioral health. His research aims to understand how contextual and structural factors impact access to uptake of HIV prevention and treatment services among Black sexual minority men (SMM). He is particularly interested in novel ways to engage Black SMM to increase the uptake and adherence of bio-behavioral interventions to prevent and manage HIV. He is also interested in understanding how neighborhood characteristics and social networks influence health and health disparities among Black SMM.
